Biography

With 25+ years experience of traditional and computer based Illustration, Animation and Design. I trained at Central Saint Martins at the London Animation School.

I’m based in the North West and have over the years worked for a variety of studios from Cosgrove Hall Films, Nickleodeon, Cartoon Network, BBC, ITV, Tell-Tale Productions, Fat City Films, Stardotstar and most recently Factory Transmedia.

Whilst at Cosgrove Hall I worked on a number of projects from pilots to Interstitials using both Flash and Toon Boom Harmony. Jean Flynn’s ‘Eddie Retractorhead‘ which was developed as a series of interstitials for Nickleodeon and was nominated for a BAFTA. In 2007 a show I worked on with Jez Hall ‘Safe and Sound‘ for Stardotstar won 3 BIMAs and a Big Chip award.

In the last few months I’ve finished working on the BBC series ‘Muddle Earth‘.  My initial task was to help kit and finalise the design of the characters in Flash, then I acted as a link between the various departments to keep animation flowing through the studio as well as troubleshooting any issues we had.
